📢 Thailand’s Use of F‑16 Airstrikes Against Cambodia

📢 Thailand’s Use of F‑16 Airstrikes Against Cambodia

Date: July 25, 2025

We strongly condemn the Royal Thai Air Force’s use of F‑16 fighter jets to bomb Cambodian territory, resulting in the loss of civilian life and widespread fear among our border communities. This is a serious violation of international law and a grave threat to regional peace and stability.

Under the United Nations Charter and the Geneva Conventions, cross-border attacks targeting another sovereign nation — especially without a formal declaration of war or provocation — are illegal and unacceptable. Thailand’s use of air power in civilian-populated zones represents a reckless escalation of force.

Cambodia has shown restraint and repeatedly called for diplomatic solutions. Yet Thailand continues to reject third-party mediation while intensifying its military actions.

We call on ASEAN, the United Nations, and the international community to urgently investigate these attacks, hold the perpetrators accountable, and take steps to prevent further violations.

Cambodia will continue to defend its territory, its people, and its right to live in peace — with dignity and within the framework of international law.
